Gah, that's a tough question. Both are good companies(great companies), but I'd have to say SM Entertainment. Main reason being that there are more artists that I like from that company.

Yeah.. SM entertainment is cool cause of the artist they release, most of them my favs (H.O.T, DBSK, SuJu) .. but JYP ent. has this plus that is... I don't know how to name this, but they make more moves to promote their artists abroad, they not only focus on singing but in dancing, and really, mostly of the JYP's groups (yeh, specially 2PM) are really good dancers, good singers, in other words, great entertainers, and that's something SM lacks of...

I'd choose SM Entertainment...lol...iono abt u guys but i just feel that sm artists has more freedom (?)

I define 'better' by being able to help artistes achieve fame and recognition. Both are good but SM produces, by far, more popular artistes.
Since every company has scandals about 'mistreating' their artistes, I guess SM is safer choice (if that's part of Alan's plan - JYP/SM) because they have more experience.

I vote for JYP 
In my feeling SM is more toward the entertaining and personalities of th idol
but JYP concentrate more on the performance and music
Didn't say SM is not good but i think JYP suite Alan better
But if u like to go on lots of television n show stick w/ SM

SM seems to care about looks a lot.
Im pretty sure they are look for full korean singers.
JYP takes a long time for singers to debut.
JYP seems like you have to be a REALLY strong dancer, singer or both.
Jo Kwon from 2am took 7 years to debut with JYP.

I know that SM don't care about the welfare of the artists- I'm not saying I don't care about Alan- but I guess I'm more of a goal-orientated person... I'd want success more than comfort, shall I say?
Getting into JYP would give you a more relaxed schedule, packed, but you'd be allowed to rest and have fun, but for SM, you work your ass off even if your bones feel like they're going to break, but no matter how you do, I think SM will get you to being one of the best artists with super-super effective marketing.

SME all the way! Well, JYP is okay too.
If YG was in the poll I'd probably have picked it because they focus more on talent and personalities.
But... I really don't like the way SM idols (and JYP idols also, maybe) are treated.
So why did I pick SM ? SHINee, f(x), TVXQ, SuJu, SNSD = I think it says it all.
Another small yet stupid reason : I can't stand JYP as a person. Dunno why xD

I'd like to give more specific tips to all of you about JYP and SM.
it will depend on what kind of person you are.
JYP is a typical artist who likes people with great personalities and skills! it's a genius of K-pop seeking the potential of an independant artist....
he seeks true talents....and therefore will give you the freedom you need! freedom of self-expression! he teaches to "create" songs not only to sing or dance on songs! that's the JYP spirits!
SM is more like a massive and agressive music industry bomb factory! of course people enjoys SM more especially at young ages because SM just do more communication! it's litterally a star factory! they will build you...no matter your skills, if you interest them, they will make you the best polish diamond you can possibly become!
but becarefull, SM hate flows....you get in the mold or you're out...and only when your talent is been fully proven that you might ask them to let you try your own stuff...
so who are you and where do you want to go? are you a raw diamond in need of real polishing, or are you a freestyler already aware of its uniqueness?

i ship sm just because i love their artists. i do have some concerns (alot actually) on how they treat their artists but i just like sm more in my opinion ^^ its always the sm groups' songs that stick in my head and stay there thats why ^^
